We’ll be discussing the Xmas Glug special which is still TBA but it’s going to be a big seasonal send off with a competition being judged by some amazing industry names - more to come soon.
So see you Thursday 23rd and we can fill you in on the details then. - Nick

My new business cards have just turned up courtesy of Solo Press, a quick 24 hour turnaround and on 400gsm matt laminate board. The pic doesn’t do them justice, drop me a mail with a postal address and I’ll send you a couple.

Here’s a quick pic of my ever increasing bookstack, so here’s the list with links from the top…
Fifty Designers’ Current Typefaces (Unicef)
Helvetica - Homage to a Typeface
Nietzsche - Beyond Good and Evil
Alan Moore - Portrait of an Extraordinary Gentlemen
Claude C. Hopkins - My Life in Scientific Advertising
Watchmen - Allan Moore & Dave Gibbons

I popped to Wembley last night with the chaps from McFaul and Pickled Egg to watch the rather useless England team. They managed to scrape a draw with the Czechs, I’m no sport writer so I won’t bother with a review of the game, but I was however mightily impressed by the stadium, it’s certainly no Millennium Stadium but being Welsh I am biased. Thanks for the tickets John, check out their site.

Glug seems to be picking up some steam at the moment, we’ve had a good few people down all new and old and the great work done by some of the Glug locals is finally being picked up by the design press.
